About Derwent Valley BBQ Facilities

Derwent Valley Council has BBQ facilities at Gleesons Park (Lachlan) - a large sheltered BBQ area with electric BBQ, BMX track, playground, and dog exercise area. Other parks include Granton Reserve, The Esplanade, Warner Avenue Reserve, and Tynwald Park.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Derwent Valley?

<p>BYO BBQs are subject to Tasmania Fire Service restrictions.</p><p><strong>During Total Fire Ban:</strong> Only electric and gas BBQs permitted.</p><p>Check fire restrictions at <a href="https://www.fire.tas.gov.au">fire.tas.gov.au</a>.</p>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

<p>Gleesons Park event space can be booked. Contact Council for availability.</p><p>Note: No camping is permitted at Tynwald Park.</p>
